If we haven’t met, I’m Kirsten. I have fun integrating Physiotherapy and Yoga Therapy into a beautiful way to help my clients experience better movement and relieve pain. My passion is teaching people that they definitely have the ability to move with more ease and less pain. The blend of Physiotherapy and Yoga therapy is THE ultimate healing combination.

In my 1:1 Physiotherapy sessions, results are realized faster by integrating the awareness of Yoga into the scientific foundations of Physiotherapy. I am always blown away by the dramatic positive response my clients experience as we integrate these two powerful healing modalities!

That got me thinking……I wonder if integrating some Physiotherapy into my Yoga classes would provide students with great results too?

And with that thought, The Movement
Experience Lab was born!

The Movement Experience Lab gives me the opportunity to help my clients maintain their yoga bliss by getting real about where they are starting, moving mindfully, and acknowledging the results they achieve in the lab. 

With this gentle infusion of Physiotherapy inspired assessment and progression, Yoga students have the opportunity to feel their healing momentum grow!

FAQ

How do I join a live zoom class?

Once you are a member of the Movement Experience Lab, you will receive access to your online Lab/Classroom. The zoom link for the classes will be posted there. Simply click the link and get ready to explore!

How to I access my recordings and plan?

You will have access to your portal in between live classes where you can watch recordings of the classes anytime.

Do I have to sign up for the live classes beforehand?

No. Once you are a member of the Lab, you have access to 2 live zoom classes per week. I look forward to seeing you there!

When are the live classes again?

Monday from 12:15-1pm (ET)

Wednesday morning from 6:15-7am (ET)

I have never tried a yoga class before….Is this suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! The Movement Experience Lab is for anyone who wants to learn more about how they can feel better and move with more ease.

I find it difficult to get down onto the floor….well actually it's getting back up off the floor that is the challenge! Are the classes suitable for me?

YES! One great benefit of practicing in your own home is that you can sit in your favorite chair, or lie on your couch or bed. Those options are always available to you. AND, don’t be surprised if getting down to the floor and getting back up again starts to feel easier as a result of the work you do in the Lab 🙂

What should I wear?

Comfortable, stretchy clothes that you can move in. We are in the Lab, exploring and discovering which can get messy! Lab coats are optional 😉

How should I set up my space for classes?

Lay out your yoga mat in a place where you can stand in the middle of your mat, stretch out your arms to both sides and turn around without hitting anything. 

Have some free wall space near by – you will be leaning against the wall, propping your arms and legs on the wall in many of our practices.

Position your computer or tablet about 2 meters away from your mat so that you can see me and I can see you.

Do I need any special props or equipment?

No special props or equipment are required, but the following does come in hand:

Block

Strap

Blanket

Pillow or bolster

 

If you don’t have the prop, no worries, we’ll improvise!

Can I drop-in and pay for only 1 class at a time?

The short answer is…..No

The movement experience lab is designed to help you maintain your momentum so regular attendance is necessary for you to be able to feel your results.

What if I have questions in between classes? Who can I ask?

Kirsten would love to hear your questions and give you feedback in between classes! There is a place in your online portal where you can ask questions and have conversations with Kirsten and the other lab members.
